DSA ORDIT APPROVED TRAINING COURSES:

Become an Approved Driving Instructor

Start training from £120 on pay as you train system

If you are thinking about a career as driving instructor it is essential that you receive the very best training available.

There are two ways to do this, the first is to ask around and speak to other instructors, find out who they trained with and would they recommend them.

The other option is to choose a training provider from the Driving Standards Agency list of approved training establishments, otherwise known as ORDIT. See DSA website @ www.dsa.gov.uk

To qualify as an approved driving instructor you must have;

1. Held a full UK driving licence for at least 4 out of the last 6 years

2. Be able to read a car number plate from 90meters in good daylight

3. Not have more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence (6 in some cases)

4. Be a fit and proper person to have your name entered on the register of approved instructors, all convictions will be taken into consideration

5. Be able to pass all 3 examinations set by the Driving Standards Agency.

The first exam is a theory and hazard perception test, this is a touch screen multiple choice exam of 100 questions and an on screen hazard perception test. The pass mark is 85% for the questions and 57 out of 72 marks on hazard test.

The second examination is a driving test of about 1 hour and is of an advanced nature. The test routes will cover a wide range of roads including motorways if available. You would be expected to drive to a high standard, consistent with that of an experienced driver.

The third and final exam is a test of instructional ability. You would be asked to give two different lessons to a specially trained examiner acting the part of a learner driver at different stages.

Our training course will cover all of the above and more, you will be more than prepared for any of the examinations. We offer a free information pack and a free assessment. If you would like to learn more please contact our office to arrange a no obligation assessment or email for an information pack.

If you have a part 2 or 3 exam booked and don't feel confident we can offer a mock test/assessment. This will include feedback at the end of the test and a full written report, with advice and guidance on anything requiring improvement.

DONT' TAKE CHANCES YOU ONLY HAVE 3 ATTEMPTS AT PART 2 OR PART 3 EXAMINATION.
